Dźwignia 2006

On June 20, 2006, during the 4th Engineering Forum on “Innovativeness in industry with the example of the foundry industry” during the Poznań International Fair, the “Dźwignia 2006” award ceremony took place.

“Dźwignia” awards have been granted since the year 2000 by the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations (NOT), in cooperation with the Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Editorial Office of Przegląd Techniczny – the originator of the award. The aim of the competition is to support and promote private persons and companies which contribute to creating new jobs and increasing the competitiveness and innovativeness of the Polish economy. The “Dźwignia” award is granted to business entrepreneurs and managers who create new job positions and implement advanced technologies, as well as politicians who create better conditions for the more effective functioning of the Polish economy. The candidates for the award are proposed by regional organizational units of FSNT-NOT, the Editorial Board of Przegląd Techniczny magazine, The Polish Chamber of Commerce and its regional chambers, whilst the decision as to the granting of the award is made by a Chapter composed of representatives of NOT, the editorial office of Przegląd Techniczny magazine, the PCC and the laureate of the first edition.

In this year’s edition of the competition, the “Dźwignia 2006” award for the implementation of innovative technologies and counteracting unemployment went to Krakowska Odlewnia Metalodlew SA.
The award, presented by the Chief Editor of Przegląd Techniczny magazine, Ewa Mańkiewicz-Cudny, and the Secretary General of FSNT-NOT, Kazimierz Wawrzyniak, was received on behalf of Tadeusz Bogacz, President of the Management Board of Metalodlew S.A. by the Vice-President of the Management Board and Managing Director, Piotr Ryczek.
