Sustainable Development Policy METALODLEW SA
The long-term developmental strategy objective of METALODLEW SA has been high economic efficiency, environmental protection, needs of the staff and local communities.
Reducing the technological processes’ impact on the environment and staff underpins the Company’s sustainable development policy by:
- including environmental effects and risk assessments in the whole casting manufacture process, from procurement to supplying goods to the Customer.
- implementing and applying innovative production technologies meeting EU criteria from Best Available Practices for the casting industry.
- investing in highly efficient systems protecting the environment and staff against excessive emissions of harmful substances.
- reasonable use of energy and application of facilities with reduced water and natural resource consumption.
- systemic effective environmental management and monitoring care for work safety in accordance with ISO standards Nos ISO 14001 and PN-N-18001.
Our business activities take account of the need for supporting local communities and activities to preserve national cultural heritage. This is achieved by various forms of sponsorship in the following areas: sport, culture, science; active cooperation with local authorities, scientists and artists, non-governmental organisations and business-related organisations.
Results of environmental and social actions undertaken by our Company are disseminated via our website, press, audiovisual presentations at trade fairs, meetings with customers, suppliers and other partners.
Metalodlew sponsors the band Treetops
The band Treetops was formed in 2004. It plays instrumental ArtRock.
Metalodlew SA - Mister Of Export 2008
Krakow’s foundry Metalodlew SA was awarded the main prize in the Mister and Junior of Export contest organized by the National Chamber of Commerce with the participation of the Poznań International Fair and the Rynki Zagraniczne weekly, under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy.
ITM Fair Poland 2008
Between 9 and 12 June 2008, at the premises of the Poznań International Fair, a special 80th edition took place of ITM Poland – fair of modern technologies for industry. Metalodlew held its exhibition again at the Metalforum Hall (The Hall of Metallurgy, Steelworks, Casting and Metal Industry).
